Web - Server Storage

Post by flapmaggot » Thu Feb 08, 2007 5:26 pm

Where is a good source on the internet where I can store demoes? For example, I would like a secure and private space to upload mp3?s that only me and my band mates have access to.

The cheaper the better - the safer the better. I don?t want any creeps stealing our smash hits!
Thanks for any suggestions!

Chuck

I use PowWeb, lots of bandwidth cheap. Becareful of hosts offering lots of space but not much bandwidth per day.

I chipped in with a few friends to get a hostexcellence ftp site...they seem pretty reliable, and the server's quite fast.

Check out http://www.strongspace.com/

$15/month package includes 5GB dedicated secure upload/download space with no bandwidth quota and 5GB of webspace.

I've had no problems with Dreamhost - 200Gb storage and 2Tb of bandwidth per month for $120/year.

+1 In fact, if you google around a bit you can usually find a 'coupon code' for them.

Just don't try to run a really really really popular messageboard on it. :0

you know, you could also just use soulseek if you're all on PCs. setup a folder on your computer and only allow those friends to see it. it's free and plenty fast.
