calibrating an older mx5050 1/2" 8

Post by jmpizzoferrato » Sat Mar 03, 2007 2:12 pm

i have an older mx5050 1/2" 8 track. it's the kind that is in two seperate parts, transport, and modules.

i need to calibrate this sucker badly! and i'm having a hard time figuring it out. the problem is, i have two cal tapes that are both fucked. since these tapes will probably never leave the studio before hitting protools, i figured i could 'faux calibrate' it and it'd be fine.

does anyone have a manual or info on where i should start? thanks!
