Where to buy passive wharfedales, USA

Post by Electricide » Thu Apr 12, 2007 3:17 pm

only a few of the reputable sites (BSW, B&H, Sweetwater, zzounds, etc) even carry wharfedales...and those are always the active models.

I'm helping a buddy set up a home theater, and I'm really trying to find passive wharfedale diamonds. 8.1 or 8.2. Preferrably a place we could order the accompanying satellite and subwoofer diamonds. I've been looking for a while now online. The wharfedale corporate site, when you selects find a dealer, has you choose a country, and when you choose USA, you get sent to a worthless site that has no dealer info at all.

No ebay please.

Anyone????

Not sure if it is any better than eBay, but there are some dealers on Amazon; check here
I haven't been able to find anything else. When I was shopping for the Wharfedale's I bought (8.2 active), I got them from 8th Street music. They beat the lowest price I could find, even when the better price came from an online shop who was no longer carrying them. It might not hurt to try calling them, or one of the other dealers you mentioned above and see if they can order the ones you'd like. Just a thought.

Sorry for the double post.
Are these the satellites you are looking for?

I got mine directly from the UK, back before they had any US dealers, but a friend of mine bought some from a dealer who listed on ebay a couple of years ago and didn't have any problems. Have you checked ebay to at least see if any dealers are listing them?

thanks everyone. those satellites are not the diamond line, but they are bipolar, which is nice for cinema.

I did find one local music shop that can order them. We'll see how much that costs too.

Not me. Don't know if they will ship. Good luck.
