Hey HeavyHand, thanks for the tip. I'm in Philly too, obviously not too many good pro audio places here. I took a quick look at the Studio Logic Sound site, but I'm having a hard time gauging what kind of place this is. Is it a pro audio store? Studio? I'd absolutely love to have a place to buy pro audio gear that I could go pick it up!

as i understand it, it's an online business. i don't think there is any physical store to speak of, but i haven't been there yet. i'll let you know for sure when i pick them up (hopefully this week). i put a call in to them and Geroge (the owner) picked up and was great to talk to. he really knew his business. (which is very unlike my experiences at the big box stores)

Just scored a 421 and Telefunken TD26 (made by sennheiser) at a fleamarket for $85.
Both were in perfect condition with clips included.

I got a new Mbox mini and PT9. The Mbox is amazing. PT is still presenting challenges, but I like it OK.

Hohner Model C Clavinet and an Ace-Tone TOP-6 combo organ. Both for $600! Also in the past few months, another Noble & Cooley CD Maples drumkit (20, 10, 12, 14, blue metallic finish), and early 80s Tama Swingstar chrome snare drum, and a Presonus M80 mic pre for certain location gigs.

No kidding! I wasn't even going to buy the Clav when my friend sent the email out about it. I was actually investigating so that I could pass it on to another friend. But at $300, I coudn't say no. Then, when I went over to pick it up, he mentioned selling the Ace-Tone, too, which I'd recorded before and really loved. I'm pasyched about these things!

Both for $85?

Yer giving cgarges a run on that "deal of the century" thing!

I just won a RE320 on Evilbay for US$202 shipped, supposedly "only used once' ...

Oh, and I got a looks-like-new used bass gig-bag for US$13 shipped - that has me excited!

Well, last year I bought a 1977 Rickenbacker 4001 bass for $500. There's a small crack in the neck that I'm having repaired, but when that gets done, I'd easily be able to sell it for at least $1500 if I wanted to. I think that's my record-breaker in recent years. That and the $700 Noble & Cooley drumkit. Ah, 2010 was a good year...

That's not even my deal of the summer. Two months back I scored an RCA ribbon for $100.

Feeling very lucky at the moment.

4 channel solid state Moviola squawk box. $40. It sounds truly awful in a wonderful kind of way.
