+1 RadioMacKinnonhead, Boards of MacKinnon...

Then you get a nice edgy Brubeck meets Pulp Fiction vibed "The Past is a Foreign Country". Great stuff!

ARTcessories Phantom III for ?5 from a pawn shop.

PSU was missing, but they're easy enough to find.

Also the Behringer Microamp (HA400) for ?8

I apparently have a tube mic jones.

I mean, I realized it before but I just yesterday rec'd a CAD Trion 800 and a CAD M9. The only justification I have is, I spent less than US$270 for 'em, combined.

I picked up a mid 80's rack mount Chandler Tube Driver. It has the original tube, and it's still kicking away without excess noise. It's awesome beyond words. I used it for a cello part the other day and it was killer. You can adjust the bias to make things really resonant or subdue it. Super nice to have a line input overdrive, instead of having to re-amp. great tool.

I'm really interested in picking one of these up. Are you using it directly after mic preamp, or on an aux on a board while mixing?

Jeff
I record, mix, and master in my Philly-based home studio, the Spacement. https://linktr.ee/ipressrecord

My third One-Spot, this one for just in the bedio - the other two on are my bass and guitar FX boards.

Just a super-convenient, well-designed power source, quiet enuff for me.

both...sorta. mostly via a line out of my interface thru the patchbay and back in...and just print it to a new track or during mix down. no board here....yet.

soooooo....I've had a big couple of weeks. I drove to Tennessee and bought a DBX 165a, a Bozak CMA 10-1 mixer loeaded with mic pre cards and input transformers and a Ross Mega Amp 200 power amp...all for 460 plus gas.

Then yesterday I stopped by the local Goodwill and found a pair of Dynaco A25's which went home with me and sound AWESOME!

I also bought a Yamaha M206 6 channel mixer to see if there is any magic inside. There is not but I still may mod it for direct outs...after I get the Bozak rebuilt.

And I bought some Superlux headphones.
Good Luck At Any Cost

An analog delay courtesy of the TOMB; waiting on a couple of Tascam patchbays (TOMB) and a Crown XL2000 amp for subs live (GC)... Also, a mess of cool lighting gear for live use...
