Love me some Equitek!

I have a "vintage" E-350 that's one of my most detailed mics.

All y'all might recall my search a cuppla years ago for a good-sounding EZ synth, and based on yer reco's I bought the Yama S-03 and love it.

But I still need something can just sit on the shelf and be whipped out for a quickie, eh, keys fill - you know, just a pad behind a chorus, say.

I overpaid then, spent $25 for the exact same AND had to drive it home.

Cool, aren't they?

And that was still a good price - I see 'em on the E-bog over US$100, bid onna bunch before I got this one.

I did have a orange one years ago that the ex "discarded" in one of her periodic anti-music house-cleanings, just before I "discarded" her.

Another answer to the annual "what to do with $100 Xmas gift" I've posted a couple of times before.
For 2015, it's an Ebow!

I dropped it on the hardwood floor almost immediately after opening the box, and messed the switch up. The manufacturer really came through and repaired/replaced it, I have nothing but praise for them.
This model has two modes (an on/off/on slider switch), the right "on" sounds a harmonic instead of the fundamental. Fun stuff.

Just traded a couple of broken down synths for a Tascam 488, an EV 630 and an Ibanez DM500 rack mount delay. Pretty good haul.

On whim I bought an Anatolian JC Honey ride Cymbal off eBay. Iended up taping a piece of moongel to the bottom to make it super dry and its really cool. I've yet to track with it, but I'm enjoying playing on it.

I traded my Eleven Rack for a Frostwave Resonator (waiting to hear if the trade is permanent).

Hi everyone,
This is actually my first post on this forum, despite lurking for a good while and being an avid reader of the magazine.

Today I got both a SVT enclosure and a Peavey 3620 enclosure (no speakers/no amp chasis, just the wood and vinyl) previously belonging to Adam Yauch (RIP) of the Beastie Boys. I'm guessing they are the original cabinets before he switched to Plexi enclosures in later era BB live shows. So I have all the original parts from this exact setup:
Image

Hoping the SVT enclosure will fit an ampeg SS150 or Peavey VTM 120 (I exclusively record punk/hardcore/metal related projects so lots of hi-gain stuff) which are currently sans-housing and delicately sitting upside down in my project studio. The cabinet enclosure is insane, 2x18 and 2x10 housed in 1 uni. Unloaded it felt as unworldly heavy as a loaded ampeg 8x10.

On the studio side of things I just expanded my system to include another 8 preamps/converters through a linked up Presonus Firestudio system I have. No complaints so far- the XMAX pres are good enough, nothing too colorful, and the A-D if I bypass the built-in pres haven't given me any problems.

Building and have just finished 4 or 5 of the DIYRE colour series as well as a few of their preamps in the last week and all those are fun, useful, and straightforward builds for the intermediate solder-er. Also putting some new caps in a classic Alesis 3630.

My 500 system is in a Radial Workhorse and the summing mixer is starting to be a pretty fun tool. That chassis has so many routing options that running a channel strip or even just a few pres through it can get some cool tones.

Anyway, hello all, I hope to participate more actively in these forums.

Traded my Boss RC300 looper for a Pigtronix Infinity with remote. Haven't had much time to mess with it, but well I kind of dislike modern Roland and I'm a big fan of Pigtronix, so I think it's unlikely I'll be disappointed.

deLisle amp / speaker selector. Man this is a seriously handy gadget.

You can select any one of the 4 amps (Oahu Dual 6V6, Dr Z Z-28 Dual 6V6 w EF86 front, Dr Z Maz 18 NR Dual EL 84, Maz 8 single EL 84) to go to either the 10" Celestion Gold in the ISO cab or the 12" Celestion Blue that's in the Dr Z Maz 8 Combo on the bottom of the head stack. Or you can send one of the 4 amps to both the 10" and the 12". There's a Z Brake Lite on top of the switcher for the ISO cab and an internal one in the combo cab. It's really a fantastic gadget. Working on organizing Guitar Station #2 as nicely with a second amp/speaker selector.
