Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Pair of Yamaha PM5000 mixing console channel strips, racked up. I'm not sure if this is recently "acquired" as all the parts have been here for at least a couple years and sometimes longer. Just finally got around to assembling it. I will add that it's very straightforward on one hand, and rather weird on the other. Clearly these modules were designed as just a part of a much larger product, which meant figuring out some tricky little things even to have the LEDs light up.

Can't put that in a rack and miss out on all that wood. Maybe permanent duty on someone's old Hammond.

Is it one of those 'toaster' amps? Those re-purposed magnasync moviola tube boxes?

That's a sweet little amp. Does it have a speaker out to run a bigger cab?

The headphone amp out was modded to be line level. I haven't fired it up in a long time. Thanks for the question!

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
I found one of those in the trash many, many years ago. I never did anything with it and eventually gave it away.

My business partner has one and you’d think it’d suck but it cuts through a mix like nothing.

I have the solid state version. It's got 4 in with independent volume for each. Not that anyone ever needs that.
When you turn everything up it's the heaviest sounding thing ever. It even has a speaker out and will drive a cab.
