Finally got an ARP 2600... well a clone anyways. After listening to several comparisons on YooBoob.

Got the (B) ARP 2600 Blue Marvin, on sale. Along with patch cables.

Built a nice leftover wood and old rack hardware rack stand for it too, so I can have it sitting in front of the keyboard.

Sounds really great, and my youngest kid is enjoying it too.

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

I have a worrying number of Behringer synth clones, including this one…but it definitely punches above its weight class. Also have model d (x2), k2, and rd9.

I've been waiting on the Beh version of the OB-XA for like 5 years now. I've finally given up. I've used my Beh OB-XA money for two different AKs and cases of ammo instead, over the last three years... Figured I'd be prepared to kill fascists and right wing dick bags instead of getting another synth along with a stupid amount of prepper/survival gear and training. Drump, Police State, Late Stage Capitalism, Climate Change, and a Global Pandemic really pushed my partner and I's prepper paranoia. I really need to just utilize the half-dozen soft synths I have. Which is sad because I've wanted an Odyssey clone ever since KORG did one.

I remember reading about the owner of Behringer, he just wants to have people be able to access all this stuff. I agree.

“When they kick at your front door, how you gonna come?” I’m not so sure about surviving the zombie apocalypse. I have just enough kit to make sure they don’t take me alive.

Let's please curtail the weapons talk, please. It makes some people uncomfortable.

I will start "moderating" if it continues.

unfortunately the pickups are pretty microphonic. kick on the Carl Martin plexitone and it squeals like a stuck pig... (where other guitars with better pickups don't). This is one thing that most of the Firefly's seem to have in common.

Well, pickup upgrades can be fun.

This is true! Or you could just wait for that magic "You know what this track really needs? A guitar that squeals like a stuck pig!" moment.

I'd say about once a year that's exactly what the doctor ordered around my place. I've kept an instrument around for dumber reasons than that (I'm looking at you Mr. Drummachine).
