Bad ass. I really want a "jellybean" vistalites kit, but I'm not a drummer and I've already got a good kit.

How do those things sound?

That Ludwig kit looks sweet! I love the manly sound of vistalites.

I just scored a cheapo patchbay, but it is the first patchbay I've owned, so I'm really excited. No more running behind the rack to change connections! Yay!!!!

They sound HUGE!!!!

I've always wanted a jellybean set up too. I might buy and extra rack and floor tom off of Ebay to do it. I might get a clear 14" and a red 16" for a patriotic look.....LOL!

Suh--weeeeet! I love the pretty drums.

I think I mentioned my (formerly) Fuzzy Green Slingerlands earlier in this thread... they're blue sparkle now. I'm "supposed" to be setting them up tonight. If'n'when I do, I'll try to post a pic.

I just picked up a free Sennheiser 421 from my friend's dad whom I haven't seen for about ten years; he said I gave it to him when I was a teenager and asked if I wanted it back. I have no idea how I ended up with it back then and don't recall giving it to him but I accepted it graciously.

So, they're supposed to be good on toms?

Cubase 5 just arrived, I'm excited to try it out...I can finally use my Lynx Aurora 8! I'm going to borrow a Pultec from work and mix some drums and see how they turn out.

A beautiful forty year old from New Jersey is on the way.

(Way to go Alex and good luck Andy!)

When you get a chance, please report back on the automation. The new automation scheme (from Nuendo) looks good, like it would be a lot simpler and more intuitive than the current scheme. Now I am mainly using cubase for the automation and midi stuff, so the upgrade may be worth it. . .
