Red Panda Context reverb pedal

This thing made my EHX Holy Grail totally obsolete. I never realized what a crummy reverb pedal I was living with (for like 10 years) until I tried a better one.

Every Holy Grail I've ever recorded gives off a high pitch whining sound behind the reverb. It drives me crazy and I always try to convince people to use something else.

I got a volume/expression pedal from ebay recently (and a stereo cable to use for the "expression" input on several pedals I already own).
Not the most bulletproof construction, but it was ~ $25. The Boss AW-3 (Dynamic Wah) made some interesting speech-like noises (one of the modes has the sound vary between two "vowels" selected by knobs, and the pedal controls the transition from one to the other.
Also messed with a Boss Bass Synth Syb-5 a little. I see my old Digitech RP-50 has an expression input (but its batteries were dead).
Boss Super Shifter PS-5 provided some nice whammy-bar like action (up or down an octave or two isn't subtle, but is fun).

AT AE2500 dual element mic, 2 pairs of Celestion 12" s for my old V4 cabinet,and 2 each of these weird portable powered speakers with Shure Pe 589's,used by a southern Minnesota auctioneer company. The Shure's (and the AT) sound really great on guitars!

The Shure looks a lot like an SM59 which is a ridiculously great mic.

I need to remove the battery packs inside these amps and see if I can replace them. Curious to see what they're like.

I hang some at talkbass, and a trendy thing over there for a long time is a boutique builder makes Broughton pedals, and a recent trendy pedal is a high-pass filter, and they are expensive, (but I high-pass a lot when mixing - it's totally useful, and said to clean up bass cabs) so when I saw a great price on one - well, it's mine.

When will I be able to use it (it's basically for a live board) - who knows.

I reckon it's a investment.

USB extender cables and a long enough firewire cable to stash my somewhat noisy computer in a closet. I've found it's not a great idea to leave the door shut at all time, but keeping it closed for an hour or two of vocal recording is no problem. And even with the door slightly ajar, it's still way quieter than it was. A big win for a total investment of maybe 40 bucks.

After an embarrassingly long run of mixing exclusively on headphones (sometimes you have to do what you have to do), I finally broke down & bought monitors. I went with the Fluid FX80s because 1) good tapeop review, 2) coaxial, and I like that, 3) active, which means I don't have to have an amp sitting somewhere, and 4) decent price ($450 shipped for the pair.)
Thoughts: great stereo field--the phantom center is strong with these ones. I've been listening to various favorite musics through them, & I feel like I'm hearing the mixes a lot better than through headphones certainly, and probably better than any of the relatively modest studio monitors I've had in the past. Very happy so far.

Bought another RE11. I don't need it, but it's in quite nice shape & was only 50 bucks. & my son "borrowed" one of mine, so I obviously had to replace it.

I'm kind of curious what uses you put these to in the studio. I'm sure they could be useful when recording to a 4 or 8 track, but beyond that?

2 mics on a guitar cab blended how you want only taking up one channel in your DAW or on your console? Send one mic to a 100% wet delay or reverb and blend in and combine to one channel? Those are the first things that came to mind for me.
