A Nuvo "Dood", which seems to be a kid's starter clarinet with recorder leanings. Not the worst way I've spent $30.
I got the black one with blue trim.

Altec 633 salt shaker mic. I have one already but it's got a damaged capsule and has nothing below 800hz. It's a great effect mic or a treble mic paired with something full range. Otherwise not so useful.
The new one looks untouched. Hopefully it sounds the same. We'll see once it arrives.

I just saw a video of a guy playing a jazz classic on one. Sounded great, but I figure he's already an ace clarinetist. Seems like it might save some parents from the torture of student recorder practice and performance.

Just got my “new” Western Electric 633a in the mail. For an 80 odd year old mic it’s flawless. The paint is perfect. The screws are shiny with no indication that a screw driver has ever touched them. And it works! Amazing.
Just hung it over the drums but I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to give it a workout.

Left Hand Ibanez JEM Jr. Amazing guitar.

And some new strings for all the other guitars, so they don't feel lonely. Along with a "E-Jack" tremolo tool,
for intonating the floyd rose type tremolos. Much easier now.

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

how are the crane songs? I always wonder if 500 series tube gear gets a lot hotter?

They sound pretty fantastic.
We also have a Crane Song Flamingo pre-amp and their stereo compressor STC-8.
Really strong stuff.

Our rack is pretty well ventilated. Heat from the Crane Song Insignia EQ's hasn't been a problem so far.

just received a used MD441u but turns out it is damaged (low output and no low end). I knew the eBay price was too good to be true. Hoping for a refund. Plan B is that I start disassembling it and hope that its a bad switch or filter board that i can bypass (as long as the capsule is still good). :(

I don't mean this to be in any way insulting, but did you make sure the HPF thing is set to "M"? They're pretty low output mics to begin with.

yeah, the hi-pass was off and the "tone" switch set to 'M" (music). I don't have another MD441u, but i do have MD421s and friends that told me it should sound like a MD421 with a little more top-end. but it sounded like a cheap telephone instead.
