Hamond M3

Post by studilaroche » Thu Feb 14, 2013 11:02 am

I picked up the 1960s era Hammond M3 just this past Sunday.

Here's a link to a photo as it now sits in my 'wood' room: http://tinyurl.com/aqqxthf

Picked up a Mesa Lonestar Special head off Ebay. Looks really clean in the pics. Can't wait until it shows up Monday. Also just picked up a WGS ET65 and dropped it in my little 1x12 cab.

A spider capo (adjustable, can capo any string on a guitar, all or none, 2 or 3 or etc.) and an EV RE-18 should arrive this week.

Awaiting a Apex 460, and a set of off-brand double ball-end strings for my Steinberger-lic'd Hohner guitar ...

Super naughty today.

Picked up an old Ensoniq EPS sampler and a 1968 Supro S700 acoustic.

Also finally installed that copy of Propellerhead Recycle I bought last week.

Posted an image of this a couple of months ago when I ordered it, but my MakeNoise Shared System finally showed up last week:

The flexibility of this system is amazing. Every module has multiple functions, an it plays nicely with other stuff in the studio. I'd never spend $3500 on a single traditional keyboard synth, but this was money well-spent.

Shipped off a Sony MXP-3036 EQ to Jim Williams to be modified. I'm excited to see what he can do to it.

Bought a Way Huge Aqua Puss for $50...I don't really need it but it was a good deal.

And I got 3 months worth of online guitar lesson with Bryan Sutton. All these bluegrass sessions I've done over the past few years has given me the itch to flatpick

I picked up an Orban 424a at a local shop a few days ago for a price I won't post. Been listening to some stuff through it. It's quiet and sounds a bit beefy. I like it! Got a great deal too!

Snagged a dbx 166a off of eBay for a decent price. First outboard compressor ... not counting that little ART box that I had when I was just a wee lad :)

That 166a is much better than some would have you believe.

It is a bit different sounding from the 160XT, somehow a little cleaner and not as "round", if that makes sense.

Also, you can stack the channels.

I like it on bass, guitars acoustic and amps, and on vocs for a change.
