Thanks, I'll check it out. The price is right! I have been fairly happy with the Waves RVerb, but again, pricey.

I just got a Sennheiser e602. I still like my AKG d112, but my calendar just filled up with some pretty heavy sounding bands who are going to be pretty expectant of some very focused and intense sounding drums. It'll be good to have another color on the bass drum palette.

in the last couple days:
Furman RV-1 (green face version, not sure how that's different from the usual black one)
Ashly SC-50 compressor
Strasser M17 (rebranded Beyer m69)
gear buying is more out of control than usual. need to find more rack space to put these things in.

Shure M67 mixer. This thing has the lowest output ever, but man it overloads like crazy. Drums sound so nice and trashy. Oh, and paid less than $30.

Man oh man is that a nice list of purchases. Once you give it a good run through could you give an opinion on the pre73? A few people have said they've gotten them in this thread, and I've asked for some opinions, and so far no one has really said anything. I'm super interested in that piece, I'm dying to hear a TO user's opinion.
I wonder if that sm7b will change your life like it changed mine, haha! Maybe not if you've got that sweet sounding 421. The sm7b was my first LDD (other than my D112).

Harmony H350 2x10" amp. Valco made and very well built for a Harmony...solid pine, neat wiring, etc. Threw some old tubes in there and bango, amp is fantastic. Great clean and dirty sound.

the sm7b is GREAT. exactly what i was looking for for my vocals - will try it on guitar cabs too, and maybe toms? I use the 421 mostly for kick - I like it, but I'm not even sure its behaving as a perfect 421 should - don't have a newer one to compare it to. i've just played with the pre73 for about 30 minutes the other night, but it was really nice and buttery - and I loved the drive i could get out of it - something I really wanted. but it was very clean and quiet when i left it a reasonable setting. I'll have a better idea after we track some things this next weekend.
