Careful with those calfskins. Try to keep them in a relatively temperature-regulated environment, or you could get a lot more "warm" snap, crackle, and pop than you might hope for...

Thanks for the tip! The one on top already has a small tear in it and is probably no good. The bottom one appears solid, though. Maybe I'll leave that one on.

Baritone "strat" - tuned to B for now, maybe I'll go lower if I get some fat flatwounds that can drop down a little more.

Quick observation is mighty positive compared to my Digi M-Box Pro 2.
Really excited.

I'd love to hear more thoughts on this once you've had some time to work with it. Been considering one as part of a mobile rig.

didn't exactly "acquire" this, but thought I'd share my latest build and addition to my gear.

might post some more detailed pictures over in the diy gear section.

Wow, that looks really nice. Good job!

Whoa. Never seen those before and just looked them up. Super neat looking. How do they sound?

Not sure...they are at my tech's right now along with the guitar. Supposedly they are full frequency and neutral, more like an active pickup than a traditional. Which is what I'm hoping for, the existing pickups in this guitar (minihumbuckers) are very muddy, and not really detailed in any useful frequency (they seem to be lacking in bass definition, but muddy in the low-mids, and a bit trashy in the high-end). The guitar they are going in is more of a bass than a guitar really, so being full frequency I think would make a lot of sense.

Danelectro Innuendo (weird sparkly proto-strat solidbody Dano with 4 surprisingly decent built-in effects). Minty... mostly in tune even.

$40 off Craigslist. I love the holiday season cause everybody needs cash.
