Soundcraft has shipped 2 different PSs for this unit. The original switching power supply was green and packaged as PSM290 etc. The newer linear supply is black and packages as CPS275 etc.
The biggest end user difference in the two being the PSM are 4 amp supplies and the CPS are 5 amp supplies.
The 5 amp PS provides more headroom and supposedly a quieter noisefloor. I have no A/B experience between the two to offer you except that it should be noted that I put together a linear 5 amp supply with the help of a friend of mine, for about 15 bucks with the purchase of a used 5 amp linear industrial grade PS. But after a month or so, one of the rails on that unit failed, the board took a bad hit and cost about 200 bucks to fix (the board, I threw away the PS and went back to the switching one). The stock supplies have a gizmo in them to prevent board damage if one of the rails fails. So keep that in mind if you decide to get a non stock part for the job or build your own.
