I recently received a recording that needs to be re-mixed. Original tracks are in Garageband.
A bit of research seems to show that files could possibly be rendered into a 16-bit, 44.1Khz domain for a mix.
Anyone have a clue how to get the tracks from the Garageband program?
Weirdly enough, it seems iTunes is somehow involved in all of this.
Thanks.

I haven't done this yet, but I asked the dude (and he was a "dude") how to do this and he said to export each track separately and then import them into whatever app you want. Hopefully someone has a better solution for you.

The easiest method I can conjure is to open the Gband files in Logic Pro, then export the tracks as audio files.
I've done it many times. PM me if you need any assistance.
Best,
H

I have done this by going into the original garageband file, right click and select "Show Package Contents". The files are in a media folder in there. It helps if, like protools, the regions are all consolidated.
