3M tech in the Twin Cities?

Post by Neil Weir » Sun Jul 15, 2007 8:52 am

I recently bought a 3M M-79 and I know I'm going to need the help of a tech at some point. I'm wondering if anyone knows of someone in the Minneapolis area who has experience working on 3M machines...

Mine is still here. J Hall's machine BTW used to belong to Matt Talbot (ex Hum)

Hey Neil! Hope things are going well for you, say "Hi" to Bruce for me next time you see him.

My Otari 2" was serviced once by Scott Cummings at American Pro Audio and he was really expensive, took his sweet-ass time, and a bit grumpy. He also "gave up" on two pieces of gear I wanted him to fix... he kept them for over 3 months and when I called about it he said he couldn't fix them (I don't think he even looked at them).

Eddie Ciletti - he's your best lead. He's costly BUT he does the job correctly and he's a really nice guy (he kinda reminds me of Bruce, actually). Eddie didn't work on my tape machine at any point but he did fix a few other things for me quickly and at a reasonable cost.

Take care,

Thanks!

I emailed Eddie Ciletti and it sounds like he has worked on a lot of 3M machines and he's willing to work on on mine.

... and Adam, I'll definitely tell Bruce you said hello.
