maybe someone once foolishly paid that much on eBay for one of these, but like Garges said, they're sold NEW for $100.

i think you should mention that to this person.

personally, i wouldn't go past $40-$50 for one in good working order and with a minimum of cosmetic ugliness.

20 years ago... damn, it's been 20 years already... my friends and I produced a skit show at our local community television station. During one of our remote shoot locations we lost the station's boom microphone (635a) and my friend had to pay $100 for the loss. Shoot ahead about 8 years and I find the mic while getting my parent's house ready for a move. Still have it today and it works great.

Regarding my friend who paid for the loss... I haven't seen him since 1994.

Just wanted to chime back in. I heard back from tech support that my model was made in 1970. Serial #7827.
