Just found one and besides how cool this thing looks,how does it sound?

Bold and crunchy. I love mine on snare and distorted vocal, guitar.

if anyone needs the manual, i have two versions (including full schematics and parts lists) and could put it up.

actually, it turns out i don't need to cos this site has it (and much more):

I've got two mic channels and one DI channel on mine, that go to the regular output section. Then two mic channels that go to direct outs - just straight, unbalanced outs from the mic pre cans. As is mentioned in that thread, the regular output section sounds better, as it adds some mojo from the output amp circuit and a honkin' huge output transformer.
