Audio Interface Recommendations Anyone?

Post by hondro1025 » Tue Jul 31, 2007 10:45 pm

I am in the market for a small interface for a home recording system I'd like to set up. I basically need something to connect the main outs of my small tapco mixer to my 1ghz processor / os 10.3.9 powerPC Powerbook g4. I am using Digital Performer 4. I am not in need of multitrack capabilities...just stereo and mono recording. I found a local sale for an m-audio audiophile firewire. I keep hearing bad things about m-audio and their drivers. My experience with them is only so so. Plus the line ins are not balanced. I was looking at the lexicon alpha and lambda. I would like to stay in the $100-$150 range. Does anyone have any idea of a product that will suit my needs? I'd be willing to stretch my budget to $200 if there is nothing in my range
