Yeah, I watched it, though I had company and was constantly being distracted. I'm hoping they re-run it. It made me seriously consider forking out the dough to buy those complete stax boxed-sets. So much great music, it's unbelievable.

I watched it, and dug it immensely. SO many stories....could probably have been ten times longer and still not be comprehensive. Wonderful show nonetheless.

Oh yeah.
I do not understand how or why the Staple Singers are so under-rated. Certainly the crown jewel of the Stax line up and for my money all of 60's and 70's R&B/Soul.

I enjoyed it a lot. American Masters has really had some phenomenal stuff this season. I also want to run out and buy a Stax boxset now.

There is a CD series out dedicated to the entire Stax roster. I don't know if the book chain Barnes and Noble is regional or not, but they carry them.

What I saw of the thing was really cool. Can't wait 'til it makes reruns. 'Course I'm overdue on my PBS membership so I don't know when it'll be on again...

Great show. I loved seeing Booker T and the MG's rocking out. Hope they put this out on DVD.
Peace, Todd

I just did a record for Stax. The new Soulive record.
I am just as excited that it is great music as that it is on stax!
I have to watch this documentary.
i love stax. Rufus Thomas, "crown prince of dance" might be one of my favorite records ever!
