need really nearfield - desktop monitor advice

Post by tony moore » Sat Aug 04, 2007 6:31 pm

i've used my ns10's exclusively for over 10 years now. but given my domestic situation i'm making most of my music in my bedroom. on a desk and computer that i share with my wife and 2 kids, where there is no room for my old ns10's. yeah, i know...

soooooo, i'm looking for a pair of moderately priced powered monitors that can sit on a desk, flanking this imac i'm typing on, and be backed within a foot of a wall.

obviously, i'm not looking for perfection, and there's no way auditioning monitors will mimic my condition, so i'm hoping someone out there in tapeopland is in a similar situation and can share their experience.

thanks!

tony
