We have another record coming up and so have done another video.

It's here.

I can imagine that some people on this board will find it funny and others may find it offensive. I will post a similar note over on Gearslutz, where I expect that 100% of people will find it totally offensive.

And they will let me know all about it.

Also, that post above about the Behringer knock off of the pedal is funny. Would they actually be able to make it sound shittier, or would their Black Metal pedal have the opposite of the intended effect and enhance clarity?

Hmm.

The Valn0tt is certainly this week's "go to" gear. Man, I had to change my underwear three times while watching that YouTube clip. I mean, the LOWS!

But here's a piece of kit that has clients lined up at my studio, BEGGING to book time.

"Please, Mister Baldwin. PLEASE let us record our potential Top 40 hit at your studio because your gear totally rocks our insignificant world!"

I actually had to go out and buy a rack just so I could rack-mount this baby.

Watch and weep cuz you don't have one yet!

I don't like to drop names, especially names of people who are really sensitive about having their names dropped, but a certain mildly eccentric British guitarist who oversees King Crimson and is known for ambient soundscapes that began as FRIPP ertronics, well, he was the one to turn me on to this particular audio gem. Don't believe me? You can read all about it in his very personal diary. Here's the link:

Y'know, I'm seriously thinking about getting TWO of these puppies and chaining them together. Sort of like loading an Aphex Aural Exciter into a BBE Sonic Maximizer. Oh, and WOAH! Excuse me cuz my brain just exploded thinking about what I might get if I rack the Valn0tt and use it as a pre along with this piece of Sony gear. Okay, no more coffee for me today!

I was just smiling and chuckling under my breath a bit, until the drum machine and bass. Then I had a pretty damned good laugh, nice work sir.

Well there goes the value of my (vintage, all original) Boss Metal Zone.

So much for retirement..
