New Laptop monitor

I was brought a new 19inch monitor the other day and it has a VGA conecter. the only problem is that i have a macbook and i just brought a MiniDvi to DVI lead and then discoverd that one my monitor is VGA and that the dvi cable is DVI-D so there is probaly no way i can connect it to my monitor because i can't find any cable that go from DVI-D to VGA.

What can i do? i realy want to use it.

grrrr i cant belive i just spent ?15 on a cable i probaly cant use untill i get a monitor that works with my laptop. I expect more from apple.

Apple makes a Mini DVI to VGA. and there are tons of DVI - VGA adapters out there.

I just searched ebay for "dvi-d to vga" and came up with several adapters that are pretty cheap. That might be what you're looking for.
