CAD Microphones

Post by GoatKnuckles » Fri Sep 21, 2007 2:54 pm

I'd like to hear what people think about them. I recently came into the ability to purchase them for a signifigcant discount. Let me know your stories or accounts good or bad and whether you think I should even bother. Thanks dudes. :)

I'm a pretty big fan. The e300, e100, and the m177 (i think that what it's called) are all pretty rad. The Trion stuff is pretty nice as well although I've had less experience with them as I don't actually own those. ..And if your getting the discount from Randy its well worth it.

If you can find the discontinued CAD VX2, buy it. I am saving my dimes for one. I have not read one bad user review anywhere.

ooh yea the VX2 is awesome....the only mic that ever made my shitty voice sound decent......I'm sure goat needs to get new mics to get the discount though.

I really like my CAD 179. it's an LDC with a continuously variable pick up pattern, so it tends to get a lot of use from me; and it's pretty cheap too!

What discount? and who's Randy? Seriously.

I've got a CAD M9.

it is a pretty cool mic but has some crappy parts on it.
most notably the cable connections on the mic itself.

here's a deal on 'em at Amazon

I see them on ebay with a buy-it-now for $10 less than that amazon price all the time...

if anyone has any dead cad e100's, the old one, i'd be interested in purchasing for cheap for some parts.
