Is Nero the best for general audio CD burning?

Post by ;ivlunsdystf » Thu Oct 04, 2007 5:46 pm

Winxp user here. I have an OEM Nero and it's fine, but a bit annoying with all the agents it deploys at startup and so forth.

I have done okay with cdburnerxp, the open source German app, but it tends to crash a bit much for my tastes. It gives me BSOD on a fairly regular basis.

I'm your typical noncommercial project studio hobby in the basement type of guy, not so concerned about red book compliance or whatnot.

Anything better than Nero out there? Thanks, etc.

i actually like nero quite a bit, i've been using it for a long time. what version do you have? mine is 6.3. you should be able to kill all those start up items. sometimes there is an option to turn them off in their preferences. if that doesn't work, type msconfig in the run box, and kill all the startup items that are not essential.

Check out InfraRecorder. I haven't been using been using it long, but it seems fairly robust for a open-source program.

I use the Nero; make sure you have updated it (although the latest update didn't work for me.)

I have everything turned off on it via the preferences and through MSconfig; works fine via shortcut.
bandcamp;

I mix with olive juice.
