"The Neumann KM 120 is simply a microphone combination set consisting of the KM 100 phantom power supply / output stage and AK 20 bi-directional (figure 8) microphone element. The swivel mount and windscreen are also included in the set. Neumanns modular KM 100 series is designed to be versatile with the ability to interchange microphone elements and accessories based on individual applications."

I think you can get a figure 8 capsule for an Oktava Mk12.

Neumann KM-86 -- two km-84 capsules back to back, I believe. And very cool.

Not when you can get a used 414 B/ULS for the same price, or an AT4050, etc. Now, if it was $199, then I would consider it.

Oh I know about those and other ribbon and LDCs with figure 8. I'm just curious aboud SDC (or dynamic) figure 8 as something different.

That Octava is quite interesting. I already have a pair of th mics.

With your pair of Oktavas you could do a fair sounding mid-side drum overhead. Now I want one of those thingies. I would be very interested in a bi-directional dynamic. especially if it sounded like a Sennheiser 408 or a 441.
