I just need something real basic for some lo-fi 4 track recordings. not looking to spend more than 30$. thanks.
Thank you, Mario, but our princess is in another castle.

Any reverb that costs less than $30 in that case. I don't think you are going to have many choices <$50.

if you don't mind micing it or doing a little diy wiring, I love the 'reverbs' in home karaoke units. they can be had for <$30 on craigslist. they're usually more like mushy short delays but some actually have springs in them. plus, they all have speakers and mic inputs with lots of horrible gain. totally fun.

also, search for 'reverb' on ebay in the 'consumer electronics' section.

run the vocal through a guitar amp (effect send jack to amp). mic it, bring it back into the effect return. you can put the amp at the other end of a hallway from the mic, or just use the springs in the amp

Just saw this BIN on ebay. It may suck somewhat, but its in your pricrange and might be workable if you eq'd out the highs and lows on the way back in. Has anyone here used one?

Run your mic through and amp and put it facing an air duct that leads to a long, hollow air shaft/vent.

Put the mic at the other end of the air shaft/vent.

Record.

This gets a really good "down the well" sound.

Note: Make sure your central air/heat is off to avoid your furnace or central air unit bleeding into your vocal track.

Was going to suggest one of these, but they seem to have gone up 10x in price over the last 4 years. :?

i have one. I love it. I used the shit out of it in my 4 tracking days. I still use it from time to time when I'm feeling nostalgic.
