Well some clown paid $3,000 for a 1280 couple of months back (from Primal Gear). He even told everyone on the SW Yahoo group he paid that much. Silly.
I just bought mine for $400, and I'm paying another $350 to have it re-capped & re-chipped and a few other mods. But I totally lucked on this deal.
$1000-$1200 seems to be the going rate. That seems high, but the 1280's with the Beyer tranny's and the Super EQ's sound Dyno-mite

I sold mine--probably on this very message board--several years back for $350 or so. The Super EQ is the only real standout feature--I don't really get the money they're bringing in these days.
I do still have my SW 242 spring reverb though--definitely worth the $10 I paid for it. It's like a fuzzbox & a spring reverb all in one.

No disrespect to the fella who paid 3K for a 1280, but talk about needlessly driving up the resale value of a mixer.
Then again.... maybe Clown is in order. Get this quote from the SW Yahoo Group:
"This is the famous 1280 from Primalgear that I paid $3000 for mid last year. It came with a custom flight case and meter bridge. For the life of me I can't figure this thing out."
Honestly.

Re: any sound workshop people?
Does anyone have a schematic for the 262 stereo reverb?
