Hey
So, this shit makes me crazy..I have a new hard drive PT(Mpowered) won't let me record to it, I've tried to chenge the setings in workspace but still no go, please help???

Is the hard drive internal or external? If it's external, is it USB or Firewire? Pro Tools won't work off of a drive on a slower connection like USB.

Sorry for the lack of info, it's external and yes it is usb, so I guess your saying this is a no go? I have to get a firewire then? Thanks. Tom

On top of that, are you on a mac or pc? If it's a mac, make sure you reformat it as "Journaled Extended".
If you're on a pc make sure it's NTFS.
USB 2 will work, just not as well and with the occasional problems. I wouldn't recommend USB.

Go into the disk utility or something menu within pro tools and tell PT you want to be able to record onto said drive. I know this is vague, but I don't remember the exact menu within PT.
