Hi,
I'm considering getting a Rain Recording laptop (http://rainrecording.com) for basic home recording using Pro Tools LE and I'm looking for some feedback from any current or past Rain Recording customers. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!
How are Rain Recording laptops?

Thanks for the recommendation
Checking out their site now. Do you use an ADK laptop?

Yeah. Aside from some temperamental power-down issues, it has been absolutely solid for more than a year now. (The problem I'm referring to is, if you turn off the power or pull out the power jack before the power-down sequence is absolutely complete, it'll hibernate instead of turn off, draining the battery. A tad annoying, but once I understood what was happening, I stopped doing it that way.)
Scott who works there is a nice guy, and when you call tech support, a human answers the phone. Comes with a two-year warranty too.
Rain's products might well be good, I just thought I should recommend ADK.

Sonica is also a reputable place for audio computers along with ADK. You might have a look there too while you're shopping

I would steer clear of anything not certified for PTLE. I have been down that road and it sucks
Recently, I upgraded to a system from TerraDigitalAudio and they are certified for Pro Tools. Also, they are very supportive and gave me an extra gig of RAM for free.
