Connector stuck in nostril

Post by inverseroom » Mon Jan 07, 2008 7:50 am

Man, I just don't know how this happened. I was playing the guitar and then all of a sudden, whammo! I'm kinda having trouble typing--I think this thing is affecting my motor skills. Any ideas?

It's a Neutrik NYS 224, if that helps.

See if you can reach in through the other nostril and push it out. That always works for me.

I think you need a neti pot to clear out your nasal passages:

So what is your signal path? Are you going direct in or did you mic up an amp!

I would take the two coffee pots off of your top shelf, place one on either side of the cable and just give it a good pull. Should come right out. Otherwise you are going to have to fire up the soldering iron and try to remove as much as you can piece by piece.

One word of caution, when using that jack for DI I always find the resulting tone is nasal.

What kind of strings were you using? That might help.
