Anyone using one yet and have any comments/observations? Seriously considering one in the immediate future. Thanks.

I spoke into one on the NAMM floor. It sounded very good. I want it.

It does....I did a quick scan of specs, the Avant has lower self noise. The Apex is 20 dBA, the Avant is 13dBA. That could be a result of the tubes that comes loaded in it. It also has 2 additional tubes packaged with it for different flavor and gain specs.

Well, I bought one. I was talking with a producer who just did some vocal sessions with Taylor Swift and they used one on her vocals and loved it. He recommended finding a good NOS 6072A tube to put in it, which I will. I'll post some clips as soon as I can.

I'm a big fan of the studio projects T3 (NOS tube)..I'd highly recommend that one..if you like a great full sounding c12 sound with a fizzy top..the SP shock mount is better imo..
