The vocal stylings of David Lee Roth

Post by Blade » Fri Jan 25, 2008 12:19 pm

I guess this is floating around now.
It's nice hearing it without all that reverb on the master!

Enjoy!

Bad ass! If I was DLR I'd be really pissed that this was out there. :)

Man, thanks, thanks, thanks for that - that is some funny stuff, best thing I've heard in some time. Destined to be a classic.

Now if only I can figure out how to make a ringtone out of it I'll be set.

Wouldn't that be fun to have your phone go off with:

AhhHaa....Yahhhhaa!!<=

"Excuse me, I have to take this call"

Ringtone... so funny, my boss and I were JUST discussing this while listening. And yes, that line is priceless. I so want that to be my new ringtone. Awesome.

I smell a remix.

Dude - do it!

I can't figure out how to roll my own ringtones with my Treo650, but somebody needs to use this.

Hope it doesn't go off in a funeral or something, although that could lighten things up.

one would hope you'd have your celphone off, or on 'silent' during a funeral.

I couldn't help thinking how forgettable that vocal would be if he were in a different band.

I still love DLR.

That is pretty sweet. DLR is the man. VH is not VH w/out DLR.

Wow, Diamond Dave at his 'finest'. This is destined to be every bit as classic as the infamous "People, Let Me Get This Off My Chest," an 80-minute collection of Paul Stanley's stage banter.

If you guys don't already have this, you better get some on you.

Worth every minute.

Thanks, You made my day!

VH's first tour was my first show, I still have the great memory of feeling like I was all alone (in a crowd of 10,000) watching Dave bathed in white light belt that out...he was the best.

I once recorded in a studio where if we got shitfaced enough, we'd run down to the tape vault and grab Roxette's "joyride" which we'd load up on the tape machine and play as loud as we could solo'ing every track and laughing like crazy. It's not that hard to get a safety copy or even original multitrack master of well known records in any studio's tape vault. If an assistant engineer has a key to the vault you can usually get him in a headlock until he relinquishes it.
