so no 96k or (horrors) 88.2? I really like tracking at 88.2. I know I cant hear high enough to benefit from the higher cutoff point, but I swear it makes a difference on the frequencies I can hear. Especially on, of all things, hokey analog synth sweeps.

the aphex 141 manual says this...

"The Model 141 needs no clock as it converts whatever is on the ADAT input to analog. It can accept 44.1kHz or 48kHz."

Is it generally or always true that a D/A conversion should use the device internal clock?

what if there is another d/a converter in your system?

OK -

I've got a aphex 141 coming!

I'm going to use it with the tascam 1884 ADAT port...

Will post a report in about a week or so.

The aphex 141 d/a sounds great compared to the beringitis ada8000. Very clear sound. I've been listening to it for about 1-2 weeks now and I'll be keeping it.
