Lost dongle help

Post by dougo » Mon Feb 18, 2008 5:15 pm

Well smooth guy me rearranged his office/recording area and lost the dongle for my logic pro 7! How about some suggestions.

1. Upgrade to 8

2. Switch over to another software?

I am just a hobbyist recorder who has a MH 2882 for his ADA and was curious what other software might be enjoyable to use. I personally have used Logic for about 6 years and always though it was a bit strange.

Hardware: Macbook Pro

Thanks gang!

FYI, I believe you will need the dongle the first time you run the upgrade to 8.

You are correct. Maybe I have to buy Logic 8 outright....

I would try contacting Apple and say you have Logic 7, lost the dongle and want to upgrade to Logic 8. If you still have your Logic 7 registration you might be ok. I've also heard of people paying around $100 for a new dongle with Logic 7, I did about 5 years ago with Logic 5 or 6.
