it works too, but i think to 'change samples', you actually have to switch out instruments.

Okay, who's seen "Two-Lane Blacktop"? James Taylor stars, it is all about hot rodding, (1972 or so) and it is the coolest movie ever. The ending is particularly amazing. It's sort of Tape-Op-ish (the final shot is a shot of film burning up in a projector as the picture fades away).

I spent the last fifteen years thinking James Taylor was a good singer/songwriter but kind of wussy, but after seeing the film and then seeing that odd drum machine contrivance I must say that he gives us bald guys hope for the future. That is truly awesome.

Everybody should watch "Two Lane Blacktop".

How do you program that thing? Punch card? Peg/hole? Human sacrifice?
I record, mix, and master in my Philly-based home studio, the Spacement. https://linktr.ee/ipressrecord

His brother Livingston is curled up inside of it, operating little levers and such.

It looks like a giant music box mechanism.

Looks like the new Boss Dr Rhythm is 100% analog.

I am simultaneously amazed and appalled. What a cool idea....that only a rich guy could build. And is it me or does that pose look just a little smug?

I still want to check that thing out. Any more info about it?

After watching the early 1970s version of him for two hours in Two-Lane Blacktop (see above) I get the idea that he's just a smug sort of guy. You know, the deep quiet type. Anyway, you'd be smug too if "You're So Vain" had been written about you. That's just pure badass, pissing off a woman so much that she writes a classic about you. That's how it happened, right?

Being the first act signed to Apple records by Paul and George might build up your ego a bit as well, not to mention his raw talent.
