Wish List 2008:

Fill out my SCA rack - 3 A12's, 1 N72 and maybe 2 C84's
Another Sytek? BB's on all four channels
pair of Stapes Omnis
Black Beauty Snare (maybe World Max - cheaper)
Better convertors
Maybe the new CL SSL Compressor clone.
[Asked whether his shades are prescription or just to look cool]
Guy: Well, I am the drummer.

make that a '63 to '65 "L series" and you're talkin'!

'62 "L series" slab rosewood board Strats do exist, but they're vanishingly rare.

FWIW, keep in mind that they stopped putting a date on the bodies after '63.

Oh, I realise they are rare. Hence my desire for them.

Joel;

I thought you HAD a ADL 660? I thought you posted about it and had pics and the whole 9 yards. Was it some other Fairchild-esque monster instead?

A Robot that cooks breakfast. (THINK ABOUT IT)

Marshall 1960 Slant Cab

Vox AC30

A chance to make a really great record with a really great band that might actually get heard by a ton of people simply because its a great collection of great songs. (i know i know, CRAZY)

A puppy!

A few 8' tall rolling baffles.

Finish my ten channel PM1k Direct out thingamabob.

Finish my GSSL clone

Close in my back porch and put an office out there for doing stuff at home.

Oh yeah make some money to pay for it all!

How about a puppy that cooks breakfast? Then with the cash you would save by not buying the robot, you could afford the other stuff.
Hey, thats not any crazier then -------> A chance to make a really great record with a really great band that might actually get heard by a ton of people simply because its a great collection of great songs.
Just be sure you don't accidentally buy the robot that cooks puppies. :D

I'm thinking an MCI JH110A/B/C is on the horizon sometime mid year. Plus the roadtrip to Nashville to get the thing would be fun...

A set of small nearfields for a more mobile little rig, a masterlink,
and time.
Lots of time.
Sh*teloads of fr*cking time.
Did I mention the time thing?...

I have the 670, which is the 2 channel beast fairchild limiter. If I am allowed to wish, I would get a 660 also, which is the single channel version of the 670. Just for vocals, or acoustic guitar. That would be, um, luxurious... ?
I am still LOVING the elysia compressor. Maybe I should just get another one of those, actually.... That has quickly become one of my favorite compressors of all time... I know the review in TapeOp was a GUSH fest, but really, the elysia Mpressor is just incredible.

Oh yeah I totally forgot that I need a new set of monitors.
I can get a mix out of my alesis's (alesae?) but I am sick of the notch and bump in the 2k area.
I been looking at the small jbls and the small genelecs. But I may end up just going BM5a or A7.
I also just got my refund check $502. Thats my stimulus and tax rebate rolled in one.

Instead of buying new mics I think I should have all the broken stuff repaired and get rid of gear that I'm not using.
I'm thinking about having a couple of mics modded by Michael Joly.
What I really want is a Shure 520Dx and a SM7. I borrow those from fiends quite frequently.
A second GT MD1 would be cool as well. I've been using it together with a CMV563 for Glyn Johns style overheads and couldn't be happier.

Unless Sean wins the powerball today and gives me the $1 mill he owes me,

-hamptone J-FET kit
-Groove Tubes MD1a or Mojave MA-200
-Custom Fender Jazzmaster
-Rhodes or Wurlitzer
-Vox AC30
-A case of 1/2" RMGI tape
-A decent compressor
-A cool spring reverb
