I read lots about people liking the syteks on all sorts of stuff but rarely read anything about any one using them for vocals.

I use the BB channels for backup all the time, I like the sound and the texture is very different from my Great River which I use for lead.

I use mine for lead vocals a good bit. I think they do well with microphones that have a real sonic stamp to them, but that's not to say you can't record a vocal with a Sytek and say, a 4050.

I pretty much don't use anything but my Sytek lately for vox, and I'm not talking about the BBs either, I use the clean ones. It will really sound naked though, especially on a really clear sounding mic like an oktavamod 219. It can almost be TOO much clarity, but it is beautiful sounding.

I found that it works great with the TO Ribbon and sm7 mics for vox.

It's like anything it depends on the source and all that stuff; but man I just got my sytek a few weeks ago and I am loving it for tons of stuff.

Not so much. I usually use my Shure M67 or My Precision Electronic Tube Pre.
