Allen & Heath Zed Series

Post by leigh » Wed Mar 19, 2008 12:36 pm

Searches here came up with nuthin'....

Anyone gotten to use one yet? The Zed series looks like better build quality than the Mixwizard stuff.

I'm specifically curious about the Zed 420, as that's the smallest of the bunch with multiple busses.

Complicating matters in the States is that the 420 seems to be available only as a special order item... so wondering if anyone across the pond has one already.

cheers,
Leigh

Review of ZED-14 in the March/April issue.

I heard from A&H that all the other ZEDs were being released into the US slowly. For example, the 428 was only announced for US availability this week I think.

As an update, Musician's Friend now has the Zed 420 in stock. Other boards in the series are also available, or have scheduled arrival dates.

cheers,
Leigh

I see you have both an MPC 2000XL and 1000. Which do you prefer as far as the pads and the quantization features?
