I understand it was a Birthday Present but...about how much does a "day" at Abbey Road cost?

Nope, the ones on my Myspace account were done on my Otari 1/2" 8 track with Roger the engineer (who frequents this forum). It may be a little while before I gather some more funds to complete those Abbey Road tunes- plus another 7 or 8 songs to make up an album. Maybe I'll do a 7" of two of them or something.Meriphew wrote:That's cause they were recorded @ Abbey Road. j/kKyle wrote:and your recordings sound great.
And, just to clarify, I have some great friends but none wealthy enough to pony up for a day at Abbey Road. i paid for the session, my friend cajoled them into letting us book for just one day (which they normally don't do) and got his engineer to do the session for free and assembled a band for me. I'm not actually into saying how much I spent on the session because it's a bit embarrassing. The studio itself was 1500 pounds for the day, but there are lots of extras. It was about the cost of my whole last album. Let's put it this way; after a week in London, I'm broke.

I was just joking (j/k). So were you tripping out at all - thinking about the Beatles roaming the very rooms you were in ?the brill bedroom wrote:Nope, the ones on my Myspace account were done on my Otari 1/2" 8 track with Roger the engineer (who frequents this forum).Meriphew wrote:That's cause they were recorded @ Abbey Road. j/kKyle wrote:and your recordings sound great.
