Yeah, it was really freaky, but at the same time it felt completely natural. Like I said, I totally knew the layout of the place already and felt very much at home. The main thing is that every fader we pushed up sounded fabulous, so it was really easy to just keep getting things done. There was no pressure at all, just a really warm vibe. Martin and I were saying that, even though it's expensive as sin, if you had a well- rehearsed band that knew their stuff, you could track an amazing sounding album there in about 4 days. Just go in and lay it down without too much ornamentation and it would sound incredible.

Man, the tracks at your myspace sound amazing. Can't wait to hear what you did at Abbey Roads.

Thank you very much, I appreciate that. Those were tracked with Roger Lavally (Roegr who appears on thsi board with a fuzz face in his avatar) in his barn studio onto my Otari 8 track and mixed by Ducky Carlisle. I just sang and played the instruments, those two are the reason it sounds so good. The whole album is on iTunes and CD Baby. I give you a no suck guarantee. If you don't like it, I'll give your money back. The last track on the album is a Harry Nilsson cover done on ukulele and I'm certain it's the best thing I've ever done.

Geez, I don't even know, they had racks of them. I noticed that they had a few with just one ear, which apparently is the way Lennon preferred to do vocals. Man, I should have taken note of what they were, so many details to notice there.

Here's something i noticed; the room next to the control room where "Yer Blues" was recorded is smaller than I ever imagined. It's about 5 feet wide and 10 feet long, a walk- in closet, basically. I cannot believe they squeezed in there.

No suck guarantee...lol, I love it. Might just take you up on that one. Was sincere in my appraisal. You might also be interested in checking our stuff out as well. It was recorded through the old Muscle Shoals Neve 8068 console to two inch tape. We don't have much left here in Michigan, but we do have that bit of transplanted history.
