Looking to get some gear

Post by pk-dreas » Thu Apr 24, 2008 9:44 pm

Greetings,

I am brand new to this board and quite inexperienced when it comes to pretty much every aspect of audio, however, I hope you can shed some of your collective board wisdom on my current situation.

I have acquired myself a shure sm57 and sm58. What I am missing is an amplifier. I want something that will work for running my singing and my acoustic guitar/baritone ukulele (and eventually a harmonium) through. None of my instruments have cable inputs, so thats what i plan on using my sm57 for.

I'm not sure if this is significant, but how I want to do this is get a looper so i can layer my singing and my various instruments in my one-man-band kind of thing.

any thoughts?

you might just want to get a "PA in a box" sorta thing. Mackie and fender both make one. Has a few mic inputs and will keep you sounds clean.
