Recommend a "mastering" program for Windows
I am in the market for a "mastering"-type program. I'm used to using Peak at work, but this is going to be for home so I need it to be PC-compatible. I'd like it to be similar to Peak, but better if possible (i.e. no random and inexplicable error messages that only occasionally mean anything ). So, in essence, a nice, stable (!!!) program for editing stereo audio files and home "mastering" (yes yes I know *shudder*). Any experience? suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

We've got WaveLab on our systems here at the Studio and it works very well.

Here's the question now: is it worth the extra money to buy the full version of Wavelab over the Studio version? Is the spectrum editor worth the extra money (keeping in mind that I'm an extremely poor college student)?
What do you think?

dunno how that works, but it's worth a shot.

There are different variations of Wavelab depending on what kind of files you are working with and environment. Here is a link to the comparison chart, but I definitely put in my vote for Wavelab!

There is. With the discount, the difference is $125, which isn't much, but for me currently that equals saving a little and waiting another two weeks for another paycheck. And I'm impatient.RefD wrote:maybe there's an academic discount available for students and teachers?
