this is during our recent sessions recording a talented young singer-songwriter named Evan Darst.

the usual mid-session mess.

amp mic shootout.

Me with my long hair (gone) and bad posture (still got it).

there's a growing ungodly mess of rack gear, but we don't keep it in the tracking space and i left my camera at a co-worker's BBQ.

Just built the shelf and mount for the headphone amp a couple weeks ago, all the essentials fit perfectly. Got just enough space for my lunchbox on the desktop or on a little metal shelf just under it, but didn't have it set up when I took the pic. Sorry for the grainy cellphone pic.

i am currently rearranging and recabling a major part of my music room and will post pics when it's all done, but this could take a bit...maybe next weekend?

right now it's not the biggest mess it's ever been, but it's close.

Not in love with the desk itself. Even with the Mopads, the desk adds a lot of low mids to whichever speaks are sitting on it. I'm thinking of trying it with the drawers taken out:

Cell phone camera

Closer, but no less blurry

The rest of the room:

this is a pic of my home studio from last year.
the mackie is long gone and I have a few more things added to the pile.
What you cant see very well are the acoustic treatment on the walls and cieling. I'm very minimalist about acoustic treatement.
I've noticed in rooms with too much absorbtion going on I tend to nail the treble too hard.

My old Tac Scorpion in my old studio in Brooklyn. It's gone (well, in storage) and those god-awful Tannoys are long gone.

...and my current temporary setup in our apartment in LA.

This'll all soon be going to a new dedicated space, hopefully I'll have it ready before the baby starts taking off all the knobs and trying to eat them.

This is a great thread by the way.... really gave me an excuse to clear alot of the papers and crap from around the work area so that the picture would look good.

I still have no idea how to get images uploaded to this site.

Still, if you're not above MySpace, here's my console

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... &i=9874345

And my rack

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... &i=5931144

And our little fuzzy housemate, eerily prognosticating the death of a Revox A-77 (kinda dark)

EDIT: more pics of cat and 80-8. So far he's 2 for 2 on tape deck mortality:

I don't know what everyone else does, but I generally use photobucket to host my images. They make it really easy and convenient to just copy the image code right underneath the image, so you can paste it in your post.
