Yamaha PM200B ?

I'm picking up a Yamaha PM200b soon. I'm getting it super super cheap otherwise i wouldnt have bought it. It was introduced in 1974 and having seen the guts of a PM1000, I assumed this should be pretty cool, too. At the very least, a new toy.

Any thoughts on this? Very little info online.

I think that unit uses the block opamps (like in the PM-2000) in the output section. I don't remember much beyond that. I started with a PM-700 and it had a nice sound but limited routing. I think it is a good place to start and see if you like it. Having a few different sonic choices is not a bad thing.

Hmm, I have never heard of or encountered one of those. I wonder if it has more in common with the PM180 or PM700. The switched gain range (-20,-40,-50)is just like the pm180. It almost definetly is a transformer topology. So you will at least get the benefit of that. I am pretty sure it doesnt have direct outs at least from what google tells me. But it cant be too hard to put your own on the pan pots or the reverb send.
Will certainly need a recap.
