If I wanted "Half a Twin" I'd go with a Fender Pro (1x15) or Pro Reverb (2x12). The Deluxe Reverb is a step down from that in terms of power.

So: Twin -> Pro -> Deluxe

i gotta say the smaller the better sometimes. my old fender champ (mid 70's) was teh BEST amp for getting good clean tones ever! and it breaks up nice too if you plan on 10!

I didnt see it mentioned, so I'll recommend the Trace Elliot Velocette. Fine small amp. Will drive a 4X12 well too in the event you want a little more stage volume.

They turn up on ebay from time to time.

While not a combo, the Egnater Rebel 20 is killer IMO. Throw in the matching 1x12 cab and you'd be good to go.
