"Recording the Beatles" book = AWESOME

Post by Grahambo! » Sat Sep 20, 2008 11:44 am

My girlfriend just got me an "I love you present" - "Recording the Beatles." It is the most amazing piece of literature I own. Haven't gotten to it yet, but I am ecstatic.

Just thought you should all know.

I pour over my friend's copy every time I'm over at his place.
Love the diagrams.

It is totally amazing. I got it for my birthday from my wife. She's amazing herself.

I got my copy from the band in my signature (who are also great friends) last christmas as a thank you for my hard work. totally unexpected gift and awesome book that's sitting approx 9 inches away from my left hand as I type this.

One thing to note, that besides the writing and research and such, which make the book essential reading, the thing is just so well done. The package, the layout, the extras...

Profound and thoughtfully executed, so as to rise to the level of the book's subject. The Fab Four deserve nothing less.

Everyone on this forum needs to buy the book right now!

it is indeed amazing. i love the packaging and all of the goodies.

i do have a problem with it, though.

it would be great to be able to buy this in a volume set as well. reading the book in bed or even just while lounging is quite difficult because it's so bulky.

so, publisher, how about it?
