mac internal drive

brands you've had luck with? brands to stay away from?

I've had pretty good luck with Seagate's higher end drives. Make sure you get something that's at least 7200RPM, if not 10000 RPM.

I stuck an additional SATA internal drive in my G5 when I got it (about 4 years ago) - will check the manufacturer later, but I've had no trouble with it, and use it as my main audio drive ...

I've got a Cheetah that works well, I had a Barracuda that completely fried. I also have several Western Digitals that have had no issues.

For the money these days, they perform about the same and at a 'disposable' price point.

drew - you mean the shadowed figure in the graphic on my home page? That's from one of my comic book projects, one of my other hobbies (yes, I am a geek...). This particular one is from the issue I'm currently working on. I do all the art and writing, it's a lot of fun.
