yup, and the 2048 goes to 2 seconds.

some of them have an envelope follower mode where you can control the delay time with signal amplitude...very fun and good for ADT style doubling, too.

The link said the minimum delay time for the Effectron II ADM 1020 is 256ms though...I can't imagine that's right, that's pretty long if you want a short, slap delay.

Chris, I too have a 1030 somewhere around here- I haven't used it in years. ( I'm mostly ITB, what can I say...)

I do seem to recall that the presets on mine would never store. Do you happen to know if there's a battery inside the unit for that?

i believe there is an internal battery which allows for storage of user presets. ive been looking for an effectron unit too
anyone not using one that wants to part with theirs let me know

Guys, that thing is the best $30 I've ever spent. The delay are surprisingly high quality, and can do some crazy weird modulation effects. And it's so simple.

I wouldnt describe the effectron as high quality. Its got no high end or bass. The Old Digitech delay that had a similar button/knob configuration is waht I think of when I think of hifi delay. But of course I prefer the effectron. It just sounds gooder.

yes, there is.

it's cylindrical and is soldered directly to the board with a glop of glue underneath.

it's worthwhile to take the top off the unit and look to see if it's leaking.

amazingly, the one in my ADM-2048 from 1982 still works!

back OT, i just found the email from the guy who sold it to me saying he's had the battery replaced a few times since the unit was bought, so i should amend that date to sometime much more recent.

but the DDL itself is from around 1982.

Well, I guess the Effectron isn't "hi-fi" but what I really meant is that it sounds good with a load of character. It sounds better than $30 that's for sure. The only other rackmount delay I've used is a PCM42 and it doesn't sound 20 times the cost better.

when i croak it i'm leaving mine to whichever of my kids becomes a musician...and if both of them do then they'll just have to share, but it's not getting sold.
